I am excited to tell you about my most recent creation -EN Word Family Worksheets! With these new worksheets and easy reader your child will gain the confidence needed to read! When teaching my boys to read I wanted to focus on CVC words and not too many sight words. I was shocked at how hard this was to find, so I created some of my own! I hope you enjoy these adorable stories, characters, and more, just as much as I do!

Children in preschool, kindergarten, and on can benefit from these reading worksheets and decodable readers.

What You Get With the EN Word Family Worksheets

• 6 worksheets to help build an understanding of short vowel sounds and word building.

In this CVC story, your child will learn about Ben’s hen. With adorable illustrations and simple CVC words, your child will actually enjoy reading!

Try printing on cardstock and laminating them to make them last for years and more kids to come! We enjoy using letter tiles to build the words, but EXPO markers would also work.

Some tips on using these worksheets:

Spend one day on each worksheet. Don’t feel the need to rush through the learning experience. Each worksheet is designed to go along with the story. The pictures and words are the same, so by the time your child has gone through all the worksheets they will be ready to read the story!

Sight words are practiced, but are not a main concern here. However, if your child needs help with the sight words do not be discouraged. Give them the help they need and move on.
