Description
See three bees in a tree! Get the rhyming fun started with these EE Rhyming Words Worksheets! Preschool and kindergarten learners alike will enjoy these activities! Rhyming is a fundamental skill when learning to read. Once your child has mastered their letter sounds, the next step is CVC words! Rhyming words can mesh nicely with the learning of letter sounds and CVC words.
Unless your child has mastered their CVC word families, don’t worry too much about them learning sight words or more complicated words. These rhyming words worksheets are for a general understanding of how rhyming words work.

Here are some tips and tricks to use when using any reading program with your child:
- Day 1-You read the story to your child
- Day 2-You read the word and your child repeats the same word throughout the story
- Day 3-You and the child read the story at the same time in a sort of “echo reading”.
- Day 4-See if your child is ready to try out their new reading skills!
Do not worry if your child is not ready to read the story on their own, just give them more time and practice.
Try laminating your EE Rhyming Words Worksheets. We enjoy using letter tiles, alphabet magnets, or EXPO markers to keep things entertaining. Try taking things slow, perhaps use only one worksheet a day. Keep things simple, encourage your child along the way and they will be reading in no time!
I hope you and your child enjoy these rhyming worksheets as much as I enjoyed creating them.
